Can I receive IV infusion therapy at home instead of an infusion center?
Yes. Many IV and injectable specialty medications, including IVIG, IV antibiotics, hydration and biologics, can be given safely at home when your physician orders home infusion. Our registered nurses come to your home, start or access your IV line, administer the medication, monitor you throughout the infusion and coordinate with your specialty pharmacy and prescriber.
What is private duty home care?
Private duty home care is care you schedule by the hour or around the clock for as long as you need it, rather than short, intermittent visits. It can range from personal care and companionship to skilled nursing from an RN or LPN, and it is usually paid privately, through long-term care insurance or, in some cases, other programs.
